The Shoalhaven's hub, from Bomaderry to Culburra.
Nowra and Bomaderry face each other across the Shoalhaven River. Bomaderry is the last stop on the South Coast Line, and Nowra has the CBD, Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital and, at Nowra Hill, HMAS Albatross. East of town, Greenwell Point, Orient Point and Culburra Beach add about 15 to 20 km to the drive, and each has its own fixed fare.
The run suits Navy families heading home on leave, travellers going overseas with a lot of luggage, and Shoalhaven patients seeing Sydney specialists. For hospital runs, ask about wait-and-return.
Sydney Airport or Western Sydney International?
From Nowra the shortest road to Western Sydney International runs inland via Kangaroo Valley, Moss Vale and the Hume Motorway, so WSI is the cheaper fare: $510 against $540 to Sydney Airport T1. The drive is about 10 minutes longer, and your chauffeur picks the best road on the night. The fare doesn't change.
Nowra to Sydney Airport: two or three train changes, or none.
Bomaderry, across the river from Nowra, is the end of the line, and its trains are diesel shuttles to Kiama. From 15 November 2026 Sydney trains also stop calling at Wolli Creek, so the terminals are two changes away via Central, or three via Sutherland or Hurstville and Wolli Creek (ABC News, NSW Government).
