Batemans Bay sits where the Clyde River meets the sea. The Bay has plenty of holiday homes and retirees, and the run north is long: for a 6am flight from Sydney Airport the honest answer is a pickup around midnight, so a mid-morning flight is often the better choice. Either way, the fare is fixed.

From Batemans Bay the shortest road to Western Sydney International runs north to Nowra and inland via Kangaroo Valley and the Hume Motorway, so WSI is the cheaper fare: $870 against $900 to Sydney Airport T1.
