It depends on the route. Jetstar has flown direct from Newcastle to Denpasar (Bali) year-round since 21 October 2025 — the airport's first ongoing international service outside Australasia — and from 29 March 2026 passengers can reach Singapore via Bali. Most long-haul and most domestic frequency still runs through Sydney, so Hunter travellers still drive to Sydney Airport for the majority of international itineraries. The GR8 Transfers fare from the Hunter Valley to Sydney Airport is a fixed $580.
Yes — and the M1 Pacific Motorway between Newcastle/the Central Coast and Sydney is untolled for its full length; tolls on those runs occur only on the Sydney approach. Everything else on the Sydney approach is already inside the fixed $580 fare.

Yes — fares are per vehicle, not per person, so splitting one between four keeps the per-head cost low. For larger groups we can run more than one vehicle together.
Rideshare is available, but it is not built for this trip. Wineries and rural addresses sit well outside the main driver pools, especially before dawn or for a group with luggage. Even when a driver accepts, surge pricing means you do not know the cost until you book, and there is no backup if they cancel 40 minutes before you need to leave. Our fare is fixed at booking, the vehicle is allocated in advance, and if a car is delayed we send another.
