Western Sydney Airport transfers.

Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) opened to passengers on 25 October 2026. Fixed-fare, flight-tracked chauffeur transfers from the Hills District, the Central West, the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Hunter, Port Stephens and the South Coast.

Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) at Badgerys Creek opened to passengers on 25 October 2026 and runs 24 hours with no curfew. What is happening, and when.

26 July 2026

The 24-hour cargo precinct began operating, with the first Qantas freighter departing on the evening of 27 July.

25 October 2026

Passenger flights began. Jetstar operated the first commercial service, JQ362 to the Gold Coast, and flies to Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

From 26 October 2026 into 2027

Air New Zealand to Auckland three times a week from 26 October. Singapore Airlines daily to Changi from 23 November 2026. Qantas adds Brisbane and Melbourne from 28 March 2027.

WSI vs Sydney Airport

Which airport should you fly from?

Two things decide it: where you live, and when you fly.

Western Sydney International (WSI)

  • No curfew. Operates 24 hours, so genuine overnight departures and arrivals are possible.
  • Cheaper from the west. From every Central West and Blue Mountains town WSI is $95 to $150 less than Sydney Airport, and it is the cheaper run from the western Hills: Windsor, Rouse Hill, Bella Vista, Kellyville, Beaumont Hills and Annangrove.
  • Fewer routes at first. Domestic plus Auckland and Singapore in the opening months.

Sydney Airport (SYD)

  • Far more routes. Full international and domestic network across T1, T2 and T3.
  • 11pm–6am curfew on scheduled movements, so no true red-eye departures.
  • Cheaper from the north. From the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Hunter and Port Stephens, Sydney Airport is $55 to $135 less than WSI.

Western Sydney Airport questions.

Yes, they are all the same airport. WSI is the IATA code for Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport at Badgerys Creek, also called Western Sydney Airport, WSA or Badgerys Creek airport. It is a separate airport from Sydney Airport (Kingsford Smith, SYD) at Mascot: about 50 km west of the Sydney CBD, one terminal for domestic and international flights, open 24 hours since 25 October 2026. GR8 Transfers publishes a fixed fare to WSI from every place it serves.
Yes. In May 2026 the Australian Government confirmed air services arrangements allowing up to seven passenger services a week each for airlines from the United Arab Emirates and Qatar through Western Sydney International. Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand are the first international airlines at WSI.
Beyond the launch airlines, the May 2026 arrangements allow up to seven weekly services each for UAE and Qatari airlines. Qatar Airways has since announced three weekly Doha flights from December 2027. GR8 Transfers quotes a fixed fare to WSI regardless of carrier.
The M12 Motorway opened on 14 March 2026. It is toll-free and links the Westlink M7 to The Northern Road and the airport; the Sydney Metro rail link is expected in 2027. A GR8 Transfers chauffeur uses the M12 approach, and whatever the route, tolls are already inside your fixed fare.
The Nancy-Bird Walton terminal is built for up to 10 million passengers a year in stage one, with domestic and international gates under one roof. For scale, more than 42.5 million passengers travelled through Sydney Airport in 2025.
WSI has no curfew and operates 24 hours, unlike Sydney Airport's 11pm–6am curfew. That allows genuinely overnight departures — Singapore Airlines' SQ202, for example, is scheduled to leave WSI at 23:55. GR8 Transfers operates 24 hours, so a 2am pickup is quoted at the same fixed fare as a 2pm one.
It opened to passengers on Sunday 25 October 2026. The first commercial passenger service was Jetstar's JQ362 to the Gold Coast that morning; the 24-hour cargo precinct opened earlier, on 26 July 2026. We take bookings to and from WSI for any date.

For the western Hills, yes: WSI is the cheaper fare from Bella Vista ($185), Kellyville ($195), Beaumont Hills ($200), Rouse Hill ($190), Annangrove ($215) and Windsor ($185). From Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill, West Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook, Glenhaven and Dural, Sydney Airport is cheaper, and Winston Hills, Kings Langley, Quakers Hill, Norwest and Kenthurst cost almost the same to either. Castle Hill, for example, is $205 to WSI against $185 to Sydney Airport; Rouse Hill is $190 against $215.
No. WSI operates 24 hours a day with no curfew, unlike Sydney Airport which has an 11pm–6am curfew on scheduled movements. That means genuine red-eye departures and overnight arrivals — and we run 24/7 to match, at the same fixed fare whatever the hour.

The Sydney Metro line connecting St Marys to Bradfield via WSI is expected in 2027. Until then — and for anyone travelling with luggage, on an early departure, or from outside the metro corridor — a door-to-door chauffeur remains the practical option.

The Executive SUV is the base fare; the Executive Sedan is 10% less, the Premium Sedan 1.2× and the Premium SUV 1.3× the base fare, rounded to the nearest $5, and a People Mover is quoted on request.
